Kemono-no-Tab processes certain information to provide the core functionality of your kemono companion.

This includes:

• User input sent to the kemono (chat messages)
• AI-generated responses
• Conversation-related metadata (such as timestamps and usage records)

Optionally, and only if enabled by you in settings, this may also include:

• The URL of the active web page
• The HTML content of the active web page

2. Data Storage

Kemono-no-Tab stores chat conversations by default to provide continuity and core interactive features of the extension.

Specifically:

• Chat conversations (your messages and the AI responses) are stored.
• Conversation-related metadata necessary for operating the service may be stored.

The following data is stored only if you explicitly enable the relevant option:

• Web page URLs associated with a conversation
• Web page HTML content

Kemono-no-Tab does not intentionally store:

• Your general browsing history beyond data explicitly linked to stored conversations
• Passwords, payment card information, or other highly sensitive personal data

3. Purpose of Data Use

Data is used solely to:

• Generate and display responses from your kemono companion
• Maintain conversation continuity and context
• Provide core interactive features of the extension
• Operate and maintain the service, including reliability, security, and usage accounting

We do not use your data for:

• Advertising
• Cross-site tracking
• Behavioral profiling for targeted ads
• Training our own machine learning models

4. Third-Party Services

To generate AI responses, certain data (such as chat messages and, if enabled, page context) may be transmitted to third-party AI service providers, such as OpenAI.

These providers process data only to deliver the requested AI responses, in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data.

We may share limited data with third parties only when necessary to provide the service, including:

• AI service providers for response generation
• Infrastructure providers for hosting and storage

6. Data Retention

Chat conversations and associated data are stored to support the core functionality of the extension and are retained while the extension is in use or while the service is provided.

Optional URL and HTML data, if enabled, are retained only as long as they are associated with stored conversations.

Operational logs (such as usage or transaction records) may be retained for a limited period for security, billing, dispute resolution, and service reliability purposes.

7. User Control

You are always in control of the extension.

You may:

• Enable or disable optional data collection features (such as URL or HTML storage)
• Disable or uninstall the extension at any time

Disabling or uninstalling the extension stops further data processing by Kemono-no-Tab.

8. Children's Privacy

Kemono-no-Tab is not intended for use by children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
